Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains the terms and conditions under which Scrabbit Co. ("we", "us", or "our") may provide refunds for our Reddit data extraction service ("Service").

By purchasing credits or using our Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Refund Policy.

This policy is designed to be fair while ensuring the sustainability of our Service and protecting against abuse.

2. Non-Refundable Credits

IMPORTANT: All used credits are non-refundable. Once credits have been consumed for successful data extractions, they cannot be refunded under any circumstances.

Credits are considered "used" when they are consumed for successful data extraction operations, including:

• Successfully extracted Reddit posts (1 credit per post)

• Successfully extracted comment sections (4 credits per comment section)

• Any other successful data extraction operations performed through our Service

This policy ensures fair usage and prevents abuse of our data extraction resources.

3. Automatic Refunds for Failed Extractions

Credits consumed for failed extractions are automatically refunded to your account. Failed extractions include:

• Technical failures on our end that prevent data extraction

• Service outages that interrupt extraction processes

• Invalid or inaccessible URLs that cannot be processed

• Rate limiting or blocking issues not caused by user actions

These automatic refunds typically occur within minutes of the failed extraction and do not require any action from you.

4. Eligible Refund Scenarios

Refunds may be considered in the following limited circumstances:

Unused Credits: Refunds may be requested for unused credits under exceptional circumstances, such as:

• Prolonged service outages exceeding 72 hours

• Fundamental changes to service functionality that render it unusable for your intended purpose

• Account closure due to our error or violation of our terms by us

Payment Errors: Accidental duplicate payments or billing errors will be refunded upon verification.

Service Defects: If our Service consistently fails to deliver the promised functionality despite our best efforts to resolve the issue.

5. Non-Eligible Refund Scenarios

Refunds will NOT be provided in the following situations:

• Dissatisfaction with the quality or completeness of successfully extracted data

• Changes in your business needs or project requirements

• Misunderstanding of our Service capabilities or limitations

• External platform changes (e.g., Reddit policy changes) that affect data availability

• User error in configuring extraction parameters

• Account termination due to violation of our Terms of Service

• Requests made more than 30 days after the credit purchase

6. Refund Request Process

To request a refund for unused credits, you must:

1. Submit a written request to [email protected] within 30 days of the credit purchase

2. Provide your account information and detailed reason for the refund request

3. Provide documentation supporting your claim if applicable

4. Allow us up to 14 business days to review and respond to your request

All refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and approved refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days.

7. Partial Refunds

In cases where a partial refund is approved:

• Only unused credits may be eligible for refund

• Processing fees and transaction costs may be deducted from the refund amount

• The refund will be issued to the original payment method when possible

• Credit account balances will be adjusted to reflect the refunded amount

Partial refunds are calculated based on the unused credit balance at the time of the approved refund request.

8. Chargebacks and Disputes

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us:

• Your account may be immediately suspended pending resolution

• We reserve the right to terminate your account if the dispute is resolved in our favor

• Additional administrative fees may apply for processing chargebacks

We strongly encourage you to contact our support team before initiating any payment disputes to resolve issues amicably.

9. Service Credits vs. Monetary Refunds

In some cases, we may offer service credits instead of monetary refunds:

• Service credits are applied to your account for future use

• Service credits follow the same non-expiration policy as purchased credits

• Service credits cannot be transferred to other accounts or converted to cash

• Acceptance of service credits is voluntary and does not waive your right to request a monetary refund where applicable

10. Processing Times

Refund processing times vary depending on the payment method:

• Credit card refunds: 3-7 business days after approval

• Bank transfer refunds: 5-10 business days after approval

• PayPal refunds: 1-3 business days after approval

• Other payment methods: As per the processor's standard timeline

Processing times may be longer during holidays or due to banking delays beyond our control.

11. Currency and Exchange Rates

Refunds are typically issued in the same currency as the original payment.

If currency conversion is required, refunds will be processed at the exchange rate on the date of refund processing, not the original purchase date.

Any fees associated with currency conversion may be deducted from the refund amount.

We are not responsible for exchange rate fluctuations between purchase and refund dates.

12. Account Closure Refunds

If you choose to close your account:

• Unused credits older than 12 months may be forfeited

• Recent unused credits (within 12 months) may be eligible for refund at our discretion

• Account closure must be requested in writing

• Final refund calculations will be provided before account closure is completed

Once an account is closed, credit balances cannot be recovered or transferred.

13. Subscription and Recurring Payment Cancellations

For any recurring payment arrangements:

• Cancellations must be made before the next billing cycle

• Refunds for the current billing period will be prorated based on unused credits

• Automatic renewals can be disabled in your account settings

• Final billing amounts will be calculated at the time of cancellation

Contact our support team immediately if you wish to cancel recurring payments.

14. Policy Changes

We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time with reasonable notice to users.

Material changes to this policy will be communicated via email to registered users and posted prominently on our website.

Continued use of the Service after policy changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

Changes to this policy will not affect refund requests submitted before the changes take effect.
